"Full of ball-breaking 70's riff n' roll that sounds well, exactly like
Jailbreak-era AC/DC... but this ain't about singles, it's about the
long, hot road down the highway to hell!"

- Sleazegrinder

"Don't think of Rhino Bucket as just another band that sounds something
like AC/DC, this band wears their classic rock sound like a badge of honor...
"And Then It Got Ugly" is fresher than most new releases because it's unafraid
of delving into the hugely successful sounds of the past.
"And Then It Got Ugly" marks a very welcome return for one of rock's
unabashed purveyors of rock in its purest form."

- Rough Edge

A brief history of Rhino Bucket,
or how I learned to stop worrying and love black leather...

hino Bucket: The band your mother warned you about - or something like that, anyway - started banging skins and plucking strings way back in the previous millennium.
In 1989, Rhino Bucket signed on to major label Warner Bros./Reprise and released a self-titled CD the next year with a bang. 3 singles are released, "Blood On The Cross" w/MTV video, "One Night Stand" w/MTV video, and "Train Ride", ending up playing in all the (good!) clubs and dive-bars across North America. Surprisingly, our videos are also in rotation on MTV... Same success with the 1992 recording session leading to the song "Ride With Yourself" showing up on the double-platinium Wayne's World Soundtrack. The full album is titled "Get Used To It" and hits the street, the street hits the store and sales are brisk. One year and a half of touring, six months in the studio and 1994 gives birth to "PAIN", with AC/DC drummer Simon Wright behind the skins. Did we mention more touring? Well, that's what we did! 2 singles are released, "PAIN" w/MTV video, and "I Was Told". But it is 1994, and Rhino Bucket isn't grunge nor wants to be. Sales? Not so brisk, though the album received positive reviews. They call this "a critical success"... And so, in 1995 Rhino Bucket hangs up the guitars and heads off into the sunset. Fade to black? No, not really. Tons of strange and wonderful things happened until one day... 2003 sees movie people knockin' on our door and 7 songs from Rhino Bucket are put on the cult classic movie "Rolling Kansas". Rhino Bucket starts to coalesce from the fog. 2004-2005 sees phone calls and e-mails exchanged, leading the band back in the studio for another CD with Brian "Damage" Forsythe of KIX picking up the stage left guitar duties. "Ring-ring!" goes the phone again, and another movie with Rhino Bucket on board, "The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat, and Beers". "And Then It Got Ugly" is released in 2006 through Acetate Records supported by - yeah, you got it! - yet more touring: This time we headed off with the Supersuckers and then jumped out there with KIX. In between the tours, Rhino Bucket headlined cities throughout the U.S. and brought the buzz back to the hard rock music scene. For 2007 the band rereleased "PAIN" , including 5 unreleased tracks, and launched "No Song Left Behind" , a 15 song CD with unreleased material and a few suprises. More touring : ROCKLAHOMA, July 2007, a four-day rock festival...yeah, we played it! Sept. -Nov. 2007: We start our U.S.Tour w/Simon Wright on drums... Good to have you on the skins, mate! Recording for the new album started April 1st, 2008. Recording line up is:
  • Georg Dolivo- Lead Vocals/Guitars
  • Brian "Damage" Forsythe- Guitars/Vocals
  • Reeve Downes- Bass/Vocals
